Carmela Benson is a Group Director, Real-World Value & Evidence (RWVE), Janssen Scientific Affairs, LLC (JSA).
Ms Benson earned her Master of Science Health Policy from Thomas Jefferson University, School of Population Health. She received both master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Statistics from the University of the Philippines. She has worked in many therapeutic areas and currently leads the RWVE schizophrenia team. She has >25 years of experience in health economics and outcomes research, real-world value evidence generation and dissemination. In addition, she is also a Market Access Scientific Strategy partner for schizophrenia in support of paliperidone palmitate long-acting injectable portfolio. She has conducted many economic modelling and epidemiological studies including burden of illness, unmet needs, impact of interventions, & policies. Ms Benson's research has appeared in major peer-reviewed journals and has been presented at various conferences.
