Albert Truong, PharmD, is a pharmacist who is currently pursuing his PhD in Pharmacoeconomics and Health Outcomes Research at Virginia Commonwealth University. His research focuses on evaluating the clinical, economic, and psychosocial outcomes of opioid use in cancer survivorship. Albert’s research integrates real-world evidence, causal inference, and decision-analytic modeling to inform value assessment and value-based care strategies for disease-free cancer survivors. He is passionate about exploring the application of new statistical methods and theoretical frameworks to expand outcomes research and inform patient access. As an AMCP Foundation internship alumnus, he built his HEOR experience through roles at AbbVie and Genentech.
